Frequently Asked Questions

Every sculpture begins long before I touch clay. My work grows from memories of the ocean, movement, and quiet moments of reflection. I rarely begin with a fixed plan—instead, each piece emerges through an intuitive conversation between my hands and the clay, allowing the sculpture to reveal itself naturally.

Many of my sculptures are designed to be experienced from every angle. Rather than presenting a single "correct" view, they invite you to walk around them—or gently rotate them—to discover new relationships between curves, shadows, and negative space. Like the ocean that inspires much of my work, the experience is constantly changing, revealing something different with every perspective.

Absolutely. While all artwork deserves care, many of my sculptures are created to invite touch. Their smooth curves and flowing forms are meant to be experienced not only visually but through the sense of touch as well.

Yes. Every sculpture is an original, handmade artwork. I do not mass produce or cast my work, so each piece is unique and cannot be exactly replicated.

You can purchase available work through Artwork Archive, selected gallery partners, or by contacting me directly through my Contact page. If you have questions about a particular piece, I'd be happy to help.

Yes. Every original sculpture includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity documenting the artwork's title, dimensions, materials, and date of creation.

Yes. I accept a limited number of commissions each year. If you're interested in a custom sculpture for your home or collection, please contact me through the Contact page to discuss your ideas.

Each sculpture is carefully wrapped and professionally packed using archival-quality materials to ensure it arrives safely. I ship fully insured whenever possible and provide tracking information once your artwork is on its way.

Yes. I ship both within the United States and internationally. Shipping costs and delivery times vary depending on the destination.

I primarily sculpt in porcelain and stoneware, selecting each clay body for its unique surface, strength, and ability to express movement.

I use an electric kiln. Some sculptures are fired to full maturity (Cone 5–6), while others are intentionally left bisque fired to preserve a soft, velvety white surface that beautifully captures light and invites touch.

Some sculptures are intentionally left bisque fired because I love the soft, velvety surface it creates. Rather than reflecting light like a glaze, the matte finish emphasizes subtle shadows, movement, and form while inviting a tactile experience.

Display your sculpture indoors where it can be safely enjoyed. Dust occasionally with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasive materials, and locations where it could be accidentally knocked over.

Yes. Unless clearly marked as part of an edition, the sculpture photographed is the exact artwork you will receive. Because every sculpture is handmade, each piece is completely unique.

My sculptures are designed for indoor display. While fired ceramic is durable, prolonged exposure to weather, moisture, or freezing temperatures may damage the artwork over time.
